  • Breast Reduction: This procedure is carried out on women who have large breast that cause discomfort such as pain in the back and neck as well as weakness and numbness due to the weight of the breasts. It is done to reduce the size of the breasts by removing excess skin, fat and breast tissue. It can be performed on an outpatient or inpatient basis depending on the size of the breasts, length of the surgery and the type of anaesthesia used.

1. Prolonged swelling

3. Change in breast sensation or

4. Inability to breastfeed

  • Breast Lift: It is also referred to as mastopexy and is done to remove excess skin in and around the breasts. This excess skin can be due to having skin that is not strong enough to support the weight of the breasts causing them to sag. In some women, breast implants can be used to achieve the desired outcome. This procedure is done on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

Possible side effects

1. Temporary bruising

2. Mild discomfort

3. Numbness

4. Tender or dry breast skin

  • Reconstruction: This procedure is performed on women who have gone through mastectomy for the treatment of breast cancer. The purpose of this procedure is to recreate a breast with desired appearance, volume and contour. During this procedure, the nipple or areola is also recreated. It however, does not bring back breast sensation and function if the milk ducts and sensory nerves have been removed or significantly injured.
  • Breast Revision surgery: This is done to correct or improve the results of previous breast enhancement surgeries. It can be due to exchange of size or type of the implant, malposition of the implant, deformity or deflation of the implant. The procedure can either be on an inpatient or outpatient basis

Possible side effects

1. Swelling

2. Changes in nipple or breast sensation

3. Discoloration
